Lost Ties | Documentary Film
Chinese-Indian 20 year-old Dana Cheong rediscovers her past and her roots, sharing her families stories and diverse journey that made her who she is today.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT: This documentary is a personal exploration of my Punjabi roots and a way for me to connect with my grandmother, whose stories of growing up in Singapore have always intrigued me.
Through this film, I hope to understand her life more deeply, particularly the challenges she faced in navigating an intercultural marriage with my Chinese grandfather. By telling her story, I aim to bridge the gap between our past and present, while rediscovering my own cultural identity.

Synopsis:
Kaden receives a mysterious package that brings back memories of his relationship with Lilah. He discovers that Lilah kept a heartbreaking secret from him until she passed away, leading to their breakup. As he revisits their love story through the package, Kaden finds closure and learns to cherish their time together despite the difficult circumstances.
